What you get on your CPD certificate

Add the CPD certificate option at checkout and we’ll email you a personalised PDF after the event — usually within a few working days — ready to print, file or drop into your CPD log.

  • Your name, the event title and the speaker(s)
  • The date, format (in person or online) and total CPD hours
  • A short topic summary to support your reflective log
  • Signed by Seed Talks, ready for self-directed CPD records

Seed Talks operates within a self-directed CPD framework, which is how most UK professional bodies (BACP, NCS, UKCP, BPS, HCPC, NMC) expect their members to log learning. Suitable for the overwhelming majority of practitioners — if your regulator requires pre-accredited training only, check before booking.

What practitioners say

Real feedback from real attendees — therapists, counsellors, psychotherapists and coaches who’ve used these as CPD.

★★★★★
Absolutely fantastic and on point — an essential training for all therapists. A long overdue and much-needed deeper dive into misogyny.
Attendee, The Psychology of Misogyny
★★★★★
James was really knowledgeable and made it easy to understand. I have a much better understanding of myself, my loved ones and my clients (I’m a psychotherapist).
Attendee, The Science of AuDHD
★★★★★
As a music psychotherapist I’m familiar with the trauma-related theories, but I wanted to learn more about how EMDR works. Shelley explained the theory and practice in simple language — very easy to follow.
Attendee, EMDR Therapy Workshop
★★★★★
I’ll be able to use so much of the theory in my coaching practice — and will know where to refer for clients experiencing trauma.
Attendee, The Psychology of EMDR
★★★★★
Really high quality information, resourced from Autistic voices and backed up by robust research. I loved having the referenced research articles so I could educate other professionals.
Attendee, The Psychology of Autism & Burnout
★★★★★
As a trainee counsellor I found it brilliantly real and informative.

CPD with Seed Talks — your questions

What is CPD and why does it matter?

Continuing Professional Development (CPD) is the structured learning you do to stay sharp, current and accountable in your professional role. For counsellors, psychotherapists, clinical psychologists, coaches, nurses, social workers, teachers and many other practitioners, logging a minimum number of CPD hours each year is a requirement of professional bodies like the BACP, NCS, UKCP, BPS, HCPC and NMC. Seed Talks events are a friendly, evidence-based way to top those hours up while genuinely learning something new from leading researchers and clinicians.

Are Seed Talks CPD certificates recognised by my professional body?

Most UK professional bodies operate a self-directed CPD model — you choose learning that is relevant to your practice, log the hours, and reflect on how it informs your work. Seed Talks events are delivered by leading academics, clinicians and researchers (think university professors, consultant psychiatrists, chartered psychologists and registered therapists), and our certificates capture the speaker, topic, date and duration so you have everything you need to log them with bodies including the BACP, NCS, UKCP, BPS, HCPC, NMC, GMC and similar. If your regulator requires pre-accredited training only, double-check before booking — but for the vast majority of practitioners, our events qualify as legitimate, evidence-based CPD.

How many CPD hours do I get for each event?

Most of our evening talks run for around 90 minutes including the Q&A, which equates to roughly 1.5 hours of CPD. Our half-day summits and online workshops typically log 4–6 CPD hours, and our multi-week courses (like our 6- and 8-week online programmes) can add up to 12+ hours over the course of the series. The exact duration is shown on each event listing and printed on your certificate, so you can log your hours accurately.

When and how do I receive my certificate?

When you book your ticket, add the CPD certificate option at checkout. After the event, we email your personalised certificate as a PDF — usually within a few working days — ready to print, file or upload into your CPD log. If you attend a multi-session course, you receive a single certificate covering the whole programme. Lost it? Just drop us an email and we will resend.

Can I claim CPD for attending online or watching a recording?

Yes. Online attendance counts in exactly the same way as in-person attendance — you are still doing the learning, taking the notes and reflecting on the material. For most events we also offer a livestream + recording ticket, which is ideal if you have a busy clinic or unpredictable shifts. If your professional body requires you to demonstrate active participation, our live online events include Q&A so you can interact directly with the speaker.

What kind of topics do you cover for professional CPD?

Our most popular CPD events sit at the intersection of psychology, neuroscience and mental health practice. Recurring themes include ADHD across the lifespan, AuDHD, autism and women, intergenerational and somatic trauma, adverse childhood experiences, the gut-brain connection, EMDR and trauma therapy, Jungian psychology and dream work, neurodiversity-affirming practice, the psychology of people-pleasing, perfectionism and shame, and the science of psychedelics in mental health. We also run dedicated professional workshops — like our Science of ADHD for Therapists & Coaches and Science of Chronic Stress workshops — designed specifically for practitioners.

Who attends Seed Talks CPD events?

A real mix of practitioners. Counsellors and psychotherapists looking for affordable, high-quality CPD. Coaches (ADHD coaches, life coaches, executive coaches) deepening their understanding of neurodiversity and trauma. Clinical and counselling psychologists, psychiatrists, GPs, mental health nurses and occupational therapists. Nutritional therapists and dietitians, especially around gut health and ADHD. Teachers, SENDCos, social workers and pastoral leads. Plus HR professionals, EAP counsellors, workplace wellbeing leads and yoga or somatic practitioners. The room is usually warm, curious and a long way from a dry corporate training day.

How much do CPD tickets cost?

A standard evening talk ticket typically starts from around £15, with the CPD certificate added on as a small supplement (usually around £6). Online courses and professional workshops are priced higher to reflect the depth and duration, but still represent strong value compared to traditional CPD training. We deliberately keep our pricing accessible because we believe expert-led CPD should not be the preserve of those with generous training budgets.

Can my employer pay for my CPD?

Yes — many of our attendees expense their CPD through their employer, NHS trust, training budget or self-employed business. We can provide a receipt or VAT invoice on request. If you would like a tailored invoice for an accounts team, just email us after booking and we will sort it out.
