The Psychology
of Carl Jung
Dreams, archetypes, and the creative, healing power of the unconscious. A touring lecture on the mystic inside the scientist.

Jung put the soul back into psychology. A century on, his ideas about dreams, myth and the unconscious feel more urgent than ever.
The Shadow
Everything we bury to fit in. Why 90% of it, Jung said, is pure gold — and what happens when you refuse to look.
The Collective Unconscious
The archetypes. The dreams we share. Why Stranger Things and the Tarot deck are working from the same deck of symbols.
Synchronicity
Meaningful coincidence. The hidden order of things. When the butterflies arrive at exactly the moment you need them.
About the Talk
Carl Jung lived as both scientist and seeker. He worked with Freud, split from him dramatically, and spent the rest of his life mapping a model of the psyche that reaches from the conscious ego down into roots shared with our earliest ancestors.
This touring lecture is a guided introduction to his most powerful ideas: the shadow, the anima and animus, the self, the collective unconscious, and individuation — the lifelong process of becoming undivided. We’ll look at dreams as diagnostic tools and doorways, at active imagination as dreaming awake, and at synchronicity as the universe’s way of leaving you a note.
Jung wrote that we have “plunged down a cataract of progress” cut off from our roots. He could have been writing about AI, social media, the climate crisis. A century on, his work offers a framework for finding meaning in a world that feels unmoored — and a practical vocabulary for doing the inner work that change asks of us.
Followed by a Q&A.
