About this talk
Kink and BDSM can demand focus, emotional attunement, communication and adaptability – skills often assumed to be challenging for people with ADHD. And yet, many people with ADHD are drawn to kink spaces.
In this workshop, Dr Liam Wignall explores the intersection of ADHD, neurodiversity and kink. Drawing on his research, he’ll unpack why kink can feel particularly engaging for ADHD brains, from structure and stimulation to clear communication and negotiated boundaries. Alongside theory, the session will offer practical insights into how elements of kink – such as explicit communication, role clarity and intentional structure – can be applied to everyday life to support focus, connection and self-understanding.
